Un nuevo Liceo Militar se construira en Tacuarembo en los predios del comando de la DIVISIÓN de EJÉRCITO III sobre ruta 5.
El lugar ya esta designado y esta vigente el llamado a licitacion para la construccion.
El apoyo logistico lo daria el Regimiento de Caballeria No. 5 y el propio comando divisionario.

Tendra inicialmente una capacidad de 60 alumnos, principalmente seran del norte del pais.
Los docentes seran del departamento y se estima que iniciara sus clases en 2018.

Supuestamente hoy se ponía la piedra fundamental, pero no encuentro ninguna nota de prensa al respecto.
